Eckley Miner’s Village
Eckley’s Miner’s Village outside Weatherly, Pennsylvania, was built during the nineteenth century for the Council Ridge Colliery anthracite miners and their families. The village consisted of homes, stores, schools and churches. Today, Eckley’s Miners Village is open for public tours. Some buildings, such as the doctor’s office, requires a tour guide to accompany guests.
